Week 9 EOC: How Has Design, Fashion And Creativity Changed You?

Fashion, design and creativity has changed me quite a bit. Coming to this school, I had the goal of becoming a fashion designer. Now that I've been here, I have completely new plans for my future. Fashion is not the same as the way I used to think of it. Seeing the industry so closely at this school has made me realize I do not have a passion for it. "Creativity is the key to success in the future, and primary education is where teachers can bring creativity in children at that level." (Brainyquote.com, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam) I also maintain a job at a retail store and that all makes me realize that fashion is probably not for me. I am good at fashion design but I'm not interested in putting my full force and energy into it; at least not right now. I have realized my passion is for films. I love movies and the art of production. I've realized that my creatively is at it's best when i am creating stories and connecting them to visuals. With that being said, I still do not have interest in joining the film department at this school. I do not exactly want to be behind the camera just yet. Like I said, I'd rather create the storyline and production, which I like to do, will come later. I will finish my school, so I can have Fashion Marketing under my belt. Having a business major is a huge plus, regardless of what field you go into. I am very creative, regardless of what the project is. I always have been able to think farther outside the box than most individuals. Though my path for careers have changed, I am still passionate about being able to put my creativity to use. It is what drives my energy and gives me satisfaction. "Creativity is putting your imagination to work, and it's produced the most extraordinary results in human culture." (Brainyquote.com, Ken Robinson) I hope to be able to use my creative freedom no matter what field I end up in. Over time, I have been able to think deeper into my imagination. I have been able to start on my ideas and continue them successfully because I can do what I want. It is important to me to be able to utilize those skills and it works in my favor all the time.
